G.Skill Ripjaws M5 RGB 96 GB

About the G.Skill Ripjaws M5 RGB 96 GB

The G.Skill Ripjaws M5 RGB 96 GB is a DDR5 memory kit totalling 96 GB across 2 modules, rated at 5600 MHz.

Shipping as 2 modules matters as much as the total capacity: two sticks enable dual-channel operation, which is a real and free performance gain over a single stick of the same size.

DDR5 is not interchangeable — the memory type has to match exactly what your motherboard accepts, since DDR4 and DDR5 modules are physically keyed differently.

What to pair it with

Memory compatibility is a property of the motherboard, not the kit: the board has to accept DDR5, have enough slots for the 2 modules, and support the total capacity you are aiming for.

The advertised 5600 MHz speed is not reached by default: it requires enabling the XMP or EXPO profile in the BIOS. Skip that step and the kit runs at the platform's base speed, which is usually far lower.

If you are adding to an existing kit rather than replacing it, mixing modules from different production runs often works but not reliably — manufacturers only validate stability within a single kit sold as one package.
